
World First Pty Ltd is Australia's newest foreign exchange broker gaining an AFS license in December 2008. Founded in London in January 2004, the company has gone from strength to strength by offering private individuals and companies the ability to achieve competitive foreign currency exchange rates and an exceptional service.
The World First group has transacted with over 20,000 individuals and 3,500 companies to date. The foreign exchange turnover of the group in 2009 will be over A$3 billion.
There are three main departments within the company; the private client team, the corporate team and the operations team.

Jonathan
Quin: Jonathan joined Citibank as a foreign exchange trader before moving to their UK and latterly global corporate sales desk. He then looked after the European sales of Citibank's online trading products before moving to Royal bank of Scotland as head of business development within the financial markets division. As one of the directors of World First, he is currently managing the payments side of the business from London. Jonathan holds a law and accountancy degree from the University of Edinburgh.
Nick
Robinson: Nick joined Citibank on the UK Corporate Foreign Exchange desk and looked after a large client group including many FTSE 100 companies. He then helped establish BFinance in the UK. After this, he joined Credit Agricole Indosuez to launch their UK Corporate foreign exchange and interest rate hedging business. As well as heading up the dealing side of the business, he is now also the director of World First Australia and currently spending two years in Sydney building up World First's Australian business. He is a graduate of Reading University.
Sir David Clementi: David joined World First as senior adviser in 2006. He is currently chairman of Kings Cross Central and a director of Rio Tinto plc. He was previously chairman of Prudential plc and prior to that Deputy Governor of the Bank of England from 1997 to 2002. He has also been chief executive of Kleinwort Benson. He is a graduate of Oxford University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Joseph McKenna: Joseph became the head of the Australian corporate team in 2008. Starting as a sales executive in the London office he was promoted to head of sales in September 2007. He was instrumental in the corporate department's exponential growth seeing the team grow from three people to 30 in the short time he was there. Joseph holds a degree in Economics from the University of Sheffield.
Marc Bertrand: Marc is the global Head of Compliance and oversees all internal and external compliance practices as well as regulatory controls within the Group. He joined World First in 2007 having previously worked in conjunction with Discovery in South Africa and The Listening Company in the UK
Wendy Casterton: Wendy is Communications Manager and looks after all marketing, PR and advertising activities. She joined World First in 2007 having previously worked in professional services and for a membership body. She is a graduate of Hull University, member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer.
